Welcome to The Arts Society Kingsbridge
Our friendly society based in Kingsbridge in the beautiful South Hams, brings people together who have a shared enjoyment and interest in art in all it’s forms; from fine art to decorative art, from architecture and sculpture to the performing arts and everything in between. Affiliated to The Arts Society(NADFAS), an international organisation with more than 90,000 members worldwide, we have access to highly renowned and exceptional speakers.
- We meet monthly in Kingsbridge from September to June to hear expert lecturers share their specialist knowledge.
- We provide opportunities for children and young people to become involved in creative arts through “Arts Volunteering”
- We are working to produce “Trails of Discovery” which enhance knowledge and enjoyment of towns and churches for all age groups; and we have a dementia friendly trail in Chivelstone church which is designed to encourage memory through conversation.
- There are also opportunities to become involved in heritage and conservation projects.
Our annual programme of lectures, visits and special interest days aims to cover a wide range of fascinating art related topics, we always try to ensure there is something to interest to everyone.
Guests and friends are warmly welcomed at our lectures and events, do come along and give us a try, your guest fee will be refunded if you decide to join us on the day. We are delighted to welcome new members at any time during the year.
